Making money and Doing something passionately are two separate entities altogether.

A friend told me that they used to be a Starbucks barista and they couldn't stand the smell of coffee outside of work!

I think by obsessing on how to make money via writing, it might turn your passion into the same mode.

IMO, use your other skills to make money and use the money via writing as a nice added bonus and hopefully someday this becomes your main income.
