The v1 is almost exclusively for apple fan boys and plus some of the remote companies who are tired of having meetings over zoom and teams.
It's not for your average user who watches TV and browses the web. They spent a good amount of time talking about how meetings get easier, how presentations feel interactive and how document writing becomes immersive. This can be wonderful for the sales, marketing teams.
Also, you need the best of the hardware to prove that it works. if it doesn't due to cheap hardware, the whole idea collapses. Right now, apple would be happy to focus on perfecting the experiences than figuring out the revenue strategy on this.
