Short but a good read that emphasized the critical aspects of startup journey.
In my last startup, I tried to hire engineers who had product mindset. Because, I didn't need people who could scale us to a billion users but needed people who could unblock themselves and move ahead and launch a V0 experience.
Great point on hiring leaders with business sense. My previous VP swayed too much towards ensuring creatives stayed happy and lost the grip on delivering business value and eventually was let go.
In some sense, startups are exciting for this very reason. It requires these constant tradeoffs and pivots or else its game over for the businesses and people.
