For every Elon musk, there are probably hundreds of unsung people who have literally been thrown under the bus for simply speaking the truth and saying the things that everyone had in their mind but were damn afraid to say so.

In my opinion, there comes a point in everyone's life, where you simply don't care about the repurcussions and are willing to standup for your values. At that point, you can be authentic, but doing so before that means that you to live with the unpleasant consequences. I think this may be a lot easier when u are your own boss and not having to toe a company line!
