I once told my engineering director that this was the messiest reorg I had seen. And then sure enough, karma strikes me back with several hostile comments for a reorg I did a few years later.

The thing that many of us don't realize is that our upper management leaders are human too and the level of detail and clarity that they have is often less than what a typical engineer or first level manager has.
