I never thought teams had 75 million users! In my last two companies, one at amazon and another a startup, we enjoyed and loved using slack. Unless u are a microsoft/azure shop, most of the world, I imagine would on slack eventually?
Also, chatgpt doesn't claim to be a search engine. it calls itself a ML model and the UI was a clever way to get feedback. It doesn't have a revenue moat to protect and hence can innovate and move faster. Bing + ChatGPT can have an impact.
I was skeptic about chatgpt, but im now hooked. its more like the Alexa and google assistant, but infinitely much better at solving my problems. I used it to help write unit tests, refine my resume and also help me understand tax codes.
Even if Google launches sparrow and its better than answering questions say chatgpt, it still needs to figure out revenue and monetization and put in Ads.
and thats a hard problem.
Imagine we had all the content of youtube, but none of those annoying ads! thats how chatgpt is right now.
