I loved the way the article started and it sounded interesting. But it ended way too abruptly with no real ending.

As rightly pointed by other commenters, lack of praise is not emblematic of horizontal relationships.

Perhaps genuine and specific praise at the time of the event occurance is needed. As a manager and as a parent, I try to use praise thats specific and in the moment.
