I left Silicon Valley last year and some of the points you mention ring bell to me.

The ridiculous expensive nature of living there, the sub-standard living style and the people making it a rat race in every standard of life (apartments, schooling, jobs, gadgets anything u name) made me move out. I had good times there and I really think it made me a better human around realizing my own limitations and not get sucked into a race that I can never win.

The bubble that the valley represents is purely centered around exploitation: Uber, Lfyt exploit workers, Facebook and Google exploit user privacy, ... There is no true, meaningful innovation.
