Good article, loved it!

Couple of things:

1) Once, i bought a book that a colleague of mine in a writing class, but never could go beyond the first page whenever I tried to read it. Perhaps, book is a bigger commitment than reading a blog or a few pages and people find themselves guilty when there is a book in their shelf thats never opened.

2) Good point on why writers write, despite it not being a great financially fulfilling job. My theory is that a lot of writers are masochists, deep inside and would want to go through struggles than be happy and content on a beach sipping margaritas! where would they get the inspiration from!
