As a parent, we struggled a lot to decide between hybrid school vs online school.

In california, luckily, we have the schools closed until COVID subsides and that influenced us to choose hybrid school (4 hrs per week for two days and a reduced class size).

We chose the hybrid because it is minimizing the risk and we hate the idea of our 8-yr old staring at a computer six hours a day. I do that for work purposes and I hate it.

It was a tough choice, but we thought the schools will be thoughtful and only open when the risk is minimized. It may not be life the way it ever was, but my daughter gets to see some new faces than me and my wife.
