I think as a society, we made the Google's, the facebooks and the rest of the tech ilk look more valuable than they really are! Yes, they built products that are catered to the twenty first century and have been useful, but the real unsung heroes are the farmers, the doctors and you probably missed out on the firefighters, the teachers and the police!

Right now, the most stressful jobs in America are that of the teachers and police. They are caught in the struggles of culture wars and it's almost stupid to think that a society could flourish without either of them.
